Rio Turbo, Milwaukee's premiere dance-pop artist, has been ripping through the Midwest since 2010, sharing the stage with the likes of such artists as Big Freedia, Natural Child, Cave, and Jaill. After years of "making people sweat in dingy rock clubs, uppity downtown bars and clothing-optional basement parties" (Milwaukee Magazine), in late 2014 Rio Turbo entered the studio to record his self-titled third album. Rio Turbo is his most focused and ambitious record to date. Enlisting production duties from Harrison Colby (The Delphines / NO/NO) and Willy Dintenfass (Dogs in Ecstasy), Turbo spent three and a half months blending disco, pop, and glam into a record which, he says, is his "first real piece of party art."
